Greenwald is Great, posted March 29, 2008 at 04:34 PM

Glenn Greenwald's consistently stellar blog at Salon is something I turn to every day. Today's entry is a powerful, detailed indictment against AG Mukasey--and more importantly--the press who purposefully ignore Mukasey's continued lies.

As he argues against a tear-laden series of lies Mukasey spewed during a recent speech, Greenwald dives right into the emotional truth that exists outside of the fear-mongering our government prefers to see as reality:

Michael Mukasey can cry all he wants about the 9/11 attacks. But neither he nor the rest of the Bush administration are the proprietors of those attacks. There were millions of New Yorkers in Manhattan on 9/11 other than Michael Mukasey, who lived and worked there for a long time. Neither Mike Mukasey nor his tearful pleas for unchecked government surveillance power and the erosion of the rule of law are representative of them.

But that quote comes near the end--go back and read the whole great thing right here. (You may have to watch a commercial before getting to the article if you're not a subscriber--it's worth it).
