Here's something brilliant, a video created by Pittsburgh-based artist and poet Jessica Fenlon. It accurately--and poetically--captures the shocking sense of doom that has been enveloping America's industrial belt for the last half century or so. Fenlon's delicate voice (assuming the voice-over is that of the artist) has a hesitant, emotionally uncertain tone to it that is perfect for this material. Personal, political, lamenting, and beautiful.
