Marie Zaza for President!, posted November 9, 2006 at 08:51 PM

To file under "credit where credit is due":
A day before the election when my mom and I last spoke on the phone, I told her what my predictions were (see below), and she told me hers. Mom's predictions, you see, were completely laughable. What kind of uninformed voter would be saying "We're going to take the Senate!"? I mean, had Mom lost all sense of reason? Clearly, the Dems taking back the Senate was as preposterous as hell freezing over. She said we'd win Missouri, Montana, and Virginia. And lose Tennessee. Ha ha ha, Mom, too funny!!!

Um, uh, well, errr....

Remembering her words of wisdom from two years ago, I hereby nominate Marie Zaza for President of the United States of America. She's fiscally responsible, socially liberal, tough as nails but not inclined toward violence, a curious reader who believes in science, a rational intellect who supports the arts, and a great leader (at least at the familial level!). President Zaza. Mrs. President, to you. Heh. I like the sound of that.
